What has Silicon Valley got to do with Jerusalem?
Do you think Silicon Valley (a global center for high technology and innovation) has nothing to do with Jerusalem which represents faith? Technology is God's creation and like any other think, it has been affected by the fall and it is in need of redemption and restoration. We at Computing Outreach therefore believe that technology and faith cannot be alienated from each other!
Also, it is worth recognizing that all truth, wherever it is found, whether it be in computing or theology, is God's truth for God himself is truth and the author of truth (John 14:6).
Computing is a Modernity Necessity!
Additionally, Modernity necessitates a mastery of computing skills. In this modern age, a person cannot succeed in any career if he or she does not interact with computer technology. Because of the changes that Information Technology is bringing to every aspect of our society, there is a growing need for more computer specialists who are capable of not only operating and maintaining existing systems, but also define and build sophisticated software and information-based systems that are simple to understand and easy use. It is vital that Christians do not disappear from this critical sector of computing!
