Stage 1 (Phase 1. Age 5–7)

In this phase, you'll learn how to recognize technology at school and use it in a responsible way. You'll also learn how to use a computer to write and format text, then compare it to handwriting on paper. You will choose the right tools in a program to make art, and compare that to working without a computer. You will write short algorithms and programs for floor robots and predict how they will work; and thereafter, you will design and program a character's movements on a screen to tell a story. You will also check out the labels on objects and use them to sort and group objects by their properties.

Stage 1 (Phase 2. Age 5–7)

In this phase, you will learn what IT is and how to use it in a responsible way to make the world a better place, both in school and outside of it; take and change digital photos for different purposes; create and debug programs and use logic to make predictions; design algorithms and programs that use events to trigger sequences of code to make an interactive quiz; collect data in tally charts and use attributes to organize and present data on a computer. You will also use a computer as a tool to experiment with rhythms and melodies before making a musical composition.
